The IB Learner Profile is at the heart of an IB education. The ten attributes describe expectations for students, teachers, staff, and parents. The IB Learner Profile guides curricular choices and is the framework for all school activity--academic, inter-personal, and extra-curricular.
The Personal Project is a culminating activity conducted by 10th grade students. (from IB website MYP Projects)
The Personal Project is a student-centered practical exploration of a topic chosen by the student. It is designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate mastery of the skills, attitudes, and knowledge that they have developed throughout their five MYP years. The Personal Project showcases self-management, research, communication, critical and creative thinking, and collaboration skills. (from IB website Personal Project Subject Brief)
Students share their projects with the school community in a showcase each spring. The Personal Project follows the PYP Exhibition at the end of PYP in 5th grade and is followed by the Extended Essay in the Diploma Programme in 12th grade.
MYP Courses at SCIS
The MYP includes courses in eight subject groups: Language acquisition, Language & literature, Individual & societies, Sciences, Mathematics, Arts, Physical & health education, and Design.

Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled three times a year--in October, January, and June. All students participate in leading the conference by reviewing their accomplishments, challenges, projects, and goals. Teachers contribute their observations, provide context for the student's progress, and answer questions as necessary. All students participate actively and leadership roles expand as the students grow.
Students in all grades benefit from access to robust internet service in all classroom across all buildings. Each sixth though ninth grade MYP student has his or her own iPad. Tenth grade students are assigned a laptop. All students have a school email address. Classrooms are equipped with Apple TVs and monitors.
The Technology Acceptable Use Policy governs the appropriate use of technology.
ManageBac is an IB specific tool that Stockton Collegiate uses to post course syllabi, assignments, deadlines, formative and summative assessments, and grades on assignments and assessments.
