Thank you for your patience regarding the delay of our clothing order. We are working to ensure that future orders are completed in a timely manner.

Israeli Composer Visits Stockton Collegiate
Composer Avner Dorman visited the 5th grade classes and the 7th grade band class.  Mr. Dorman is in Stockton working on a piece for Stockton Symphony’s March Classic and Family concerts.  The piece is based on an Israeli folktale "Uzu and Muzu of Kakamaruzu" about tearing down walls between communities and conflict resolution. In the band class, Mr. Dorman directed the students in playing a number before he began his session.  At both sessions, Mr. Dorman he introduced the Israeli folktale "Uzu and Muzu of Kakamaruzu" and talked about what kind of music would fit different parts of the story.  He connected his laptop to the projector so students could see and hear parts of the score. The 5th graders will hear the finished piece during their trip to the symphony on March 2nd.

Mr. Dorman enjoyed interacting with both groups and was impressed by their attentiveness and the Q and A time.  Both he and Mr. Fisher, from the Stockton Symphony, commented on how the students in our school were clearly engaged and interested in what he was sharing, and both guests were impressed with our school.

Letter from Head of School: State Test Scores

WASC Accreditation
From Scott Luhn, Head of School: We have received word that we have been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  Our three-year term of accreditation for grades 6 through 12 is the maximum we could receive and runs through June 2014. This is a huge step and moves us forward as a school, ensuring that our students are competitive as they apply to post secondary schools and programs.  We can now be listed with approved courses on the state's UC a-g list. As an accredited school, we are eligible to test both for IB and College Board.  We are an authorized IB Diploma Program and Candidate Schools for both the Middle Years Program (6-10) and Primary Years Program (K-5).  We have continued work to do, but these are very important milestones in our evolution as a school. My sincere thanks to our staff for the hard work and effort that went into making all of this a reality.

PYP Candidate School!!
We received news on July 1st that we have been officially named by IB as a PYP Candidate School. This means that we now begin the process of putting together our Application for Authorization to be submitted in October 2012. Congratulations to all involved!

MYP Candidate School!!
